The NETAPPS2015’s theme “Positioning Towards the Future of Internet” was chosen to reflect the paradigm shift in the usage model of the Internet, along with the pressing needs for, among others, better security and mobility support, that has led researchers and practitioners into considering a radical change to the Internet architecture. The theme is in line with the current work of the IRTF and their related activities within the IETF domain.

The topics discussed by all the speakers including about the decentralized Internet, Software-Defined Networking, cybercrimes, to name a few, had attracted the attention of all the attendees in the auditorium.  In addition, there were also industrial talks by Cisco and LocalHost Sdn. Bhd. A field visit to the CSF regional Internet data center was held on the last day of the conference.
